On 28th September 2019, Kuwait Cricket held an inauguration ceremony for the most prestigious KBC T-20 Champions Trophy sponsored by the Kuwait Banks Club at the Doha Entertainment City Ground.
KBC in collaboration with Kuwait Cricket has been sponsoring this tournament for over a decade making it a special trophy for the Banks League.
Top banks in Kuwait namely ABK, AUB, Boubyan Bank, Burgan Bank, CBK, Gulf Bank, KFH, KIB, NBK and Warba Bank are participating and competing for the KBC T-20 Champions Trophy.
The guest of honor, Mr. Abu Ali from the KBC was pleased to be a part of this continuation and encouraged Kuwait Cricket to continue the exciting journey to take the sport to next level.
Dignitaries from Kuwait Cricket Club Mr. Mahmoud Bastaki (Board Member) including Mr. Rishi D. Jayan (Director of Domestic Cricket & Operations), Mr. Munaf Tisekar (Manager of Corporate Cricket & Junior Cricket), Mr. Robert D’souza (Director of Logistics & Facilities), Mr. Saud Qamar (Govt & Social Affairs), Mr. Qais Parkar ( Events Management ) and Mr. Imbran (Manager of Logistics) were present for the occasion.
Head of Executive Council Mr. Mahmoud Bastaki appreciated KBC guest of honor for encouraging Kuwait Cricket Club to continue the exciting journey going forward and appreciated the support and encouragement from KBC. Mr. Rishi D Jayan thanked KBC for their decade long support for such events.
KBC guest and Kuwait Cricket Club dignitaries cut the cake to mark the start of the tournament. First match was played between AUB and KIB.
